Message from the President

Dear SRN members,

As I prepare to go to the North Carolina beach tomorrow, I hope you all are enjoying a fun summer, also.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all at our meeting at TACtile Textile Arts Center on July 30. Several members will be on vacation then, it's to be expected. If you are in town, join us, the program looks great and it's always fun and instructive to get together, eat, and chat with other sewing professionals.

At the June meeting we had 21 present, not at all bad for a summer month! Of course the "program" was very helpful and entertaining, as many members shared tips they have learned throughout their experience. Gee, how many centuries of experience do we have amongst all of us, ladies?

Our new brochures were ready and distributed. If you need some, call the Board member who lives nearest you and they can direct you to the nearest supply, if it's not she. Pat Kramer is the keeper of the list of places where our brochures are available to the public, and will bring copies of the list to the July meeting. Be sure to drop Pat an email with the info on the new places you've found for brochures.
Check out the summer courses being offered at TACtile, A great opportunity to update a skill or learn a new one, especially convenient for those of you who live nearby.

Are any of you teaching a course at TACtile, this is an excellent opportunity to get a class going.

I hope to see many of you at the July 30 luncheon coming up. Keep Sewing and Referring, and come to the luncheon to Network!

Marci Heiser,
SRN President
