Message from the President

Dear SRN members,

If you didn't make the August meeting, with MJ Regier as speaker, you missed a good one. We had 18 attendees, including another new member, Merry Snyder. It sounds like the September meeting should be interesting, too, in a different way.

Our most urgent item of business will be to get paid up to be in the new brochure, whether as a regular member or as a special, card-size ad. Bring your check and card to the meeting, to be included! (Can you believe "it's that time again"?!)

Has anyone, besides me, entered the "Green With Envy" show at TACtile? Can't wait to see all the entries.

Don't forget to bring to the meeting any fabric you wish to donate to TACtile for their October Bizarre Bazaar sale/fundraiser.

Who is signed up to teach, or take, a course at TACtile? (Let us know at the meeting.) What a resource it is turning out to be.

I have been sewing up a storm, a surprise as I haven't had a huge abundance of projects for awhile.

The Board is determining a meeting time to get some items settled, and started.

Hope to see you all at the meeting Thursday.

Marci Heiser, SRN President

This Months Event

Chris Esposito will be joining us to talk about her experiences as a Fashion Designer and breaking out to start a business of designing clothes and marketing them to retail outlets including Neiman Marcus.

In case there is extra time be ready to discuss your tips to making your business easier and more efficient.

Don't forget to bring your show and tell, so the membership can see what everyone else is up to.
