PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hello Everyone,

PLEASE NOTE: The December meeting is on Thursday, the 9th.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and that you recovered from the food coma that most of us suffered.

Our December meeting will be will be a pre-celebration of the Christmas season's kindness and generosity to which we all aspire. One of our members suggested, that rather than doing a gift exchange, we could each bring an item to donate to a selected charity. The suggestion was well received by all in attendance. If you are inclined to participate, then, by all means, bring a small gift to include in our group's donations. It doesn't have to be anything big. (i.e., a used small appliance; shampoo and/or conditioner in regular or travel sizes;shaving cream; a package of disposable diapers; clothing; laundry detergent; non-perishables but NO HOMEMADE FOOD STUFFS; etc.)

There will not be a regular program this month but we look forward to what our Program Chair, Susan Matthews, has in store for us to begin 2011. Hope to see you there.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN SEW EXPO

February 3, 4, & 5, 2011 -- Sewing, Quilting, Embroidery and Home Decor. This expo is designed with YOU in mind! Admission is $10 for all three days and coupons are available for a $1 discount; photocopies are accepted. You will have the opportunity to see the latest products, supplies as well as attend workshops and seminars for all skill levels. Workshops begin Wednesday, February 2nd at 9 AM.

Special guests are world renowned educators Sue Hausmann with a special evening performance: Life is "Sew" Exciting. A wine and cheese reception for this segment will be Friday, 2/4, 6-8 PM. Admission for Sue's seminar will be $25.

Mr. David Taylor, contemporary quilt artist, is offering workshops all four days, Wed thru Sat.

Class seating is limited so register today.
